Dr. Francis Obeng is a Board Certified Internist. His training in Internal Medicine
equips him to diagnose and treat serious, complex and chronic illnesses affecting
the adult population. Dr. Obeng also plays a strong emphasis on preventative medicine
and still believes in the old adage “A stitch in time saves nine.” Dr. Obeng had
his medical school education at the School of Medical Sciences in Ghana. He graduated
with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degrees. Prior to this, he had
received his Bachelors of Human Biology at the same institution.
Dr. Obeng pursued his post graduate training in Internal Medicine at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons at Harlem Hospital in New York. Dr. Obeng completed his internship and residency training with honors and relocated to the Charlotte area in 2001. Dr. Obeng has since then practiced as a medical provider in Internal Medicine offices as well as inside the surrounding hospitals. He is currently located at Alfa Medical Clinic providing excellent services to his patients.
Periodically, Dr. Obeng teams up with other Physicians to render voluntary services for the community. Dr. Obeng’s clinical interests are hypertension, diabetes and patient education. He is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Trauma Life Support. Dr. Obeng’s hobbies are watching movies, watching and playing soccer and having family time. He is married to Rita and they have three children, Franceen, Nathan and Janice.
Lindsey Stotler is a Board Certified Physician Assistant. Her education enables her
to diagnose, treat and help manage complicated as well as minor conditions and diseases
affecting those of all ages. A main emphasis of her training focused on prevention
of major issues and concerns affecting the majority of the population today. As a
P.A., Lindsey prides herself in spending the ample time needed with her patients
and providing individualized plans of care as well as education to each and every
patient she cares for.
Lindsey completed her medical education at Saint Francis University in Pennsylvania. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Health Science in 2008 and a Masters in Physician Assistant Science in 2009. She completed nine clinical rotations including Internal Medicine, family medicine, pediatrics, women’s health, behavioral medicine, surgery, emergency medicine and infectious disease. After finishing her rotations she recently relocated to Charlotte and joined the team at Alfa Medical Clinic.
Working side by side, she and Dr. Francis Obeng hope to make a positive impact on the health and well-being of those in the Charlotte area by providing quality and individualized care and education to each and every patient they meet.
Lindsey’s clinical interests include women’s health issues, diabetes, dermatology and many other common disease processes. Her interests include music, movies, art, running, hiking, biking and spending time with family and friends. She enjoys volunteering and hopes to start becoming more involved in the community.
